Abstract

This workshop is designed to take you deeper into Neos 9, building on the newly rewritten parts of the codebase. We’ll start by revisiting the basics of Fusion and PHP to ensure everyone is up to speed, using simple examples to get hands-on experience with the new nodes and functionality. Additionally, we’ll explore the newest features introduced in Neos 9.1 and 9.2. Bring your questions—we’ll tackle them live and may even experiment with quick proof-of-concepts to put these capabilities into practice. This workshop is perfect for those who attended the first session or anyone ready to level up their Neos skills!

If you have questions in advance, feel free to bring them! We’ll do our best to answer them—and for simple ones, we might even dive into a quick proof-of-concept.

Note: Please make sure that your code examples or problem description don't include any customer related data which cannot be shared in this workshop situation. Also this workshop will be held in German. 
 

Who is this workshop for? 

For anyone who is an Intermediate to Advanced Neos Developer. 

Prerequisites:

No prior experience with event sourcing or Neos 9 is required. However, familiarity with the old content repository is recommended. You should also have a solid understanding of:
✅ Nodes & NodeTypes
✅ FlowQuery (node traversal)
✅ Fusion rendering

🔧 What you need: A laptop, a Neos 9 setup, and your brain!

In the coming months, we will provide you with a prepared Neos 9 setup. Please ensure that your development environment is up and running before the workshop, as we won’t have time for individual setup troubleshooting!
